Identity comes from understanding who you are in Christ — and I hope I can help you know Him better.

Learn more about what Pastor Joe does by watching this brief video.

Joe serves as the associate pastor at IBC Costa Rica where the focus is to reach the many English speakers from around the world who come to live in this beautiful country.  Some people live in Costa Rica permanently while most people stay for a short time which allows the church to have a greater impact in spreading the Gospel worldwide.

Joe is a military kid and grew up in various areas across the United States. His childhood was spent living in the Western part of the U.S and his adolescense was lived in the State of Virginia. He graduated with a B.S degree from Virginia Tech, later with a Masters of Divinity from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary (now Gateway Seminary) and almost completed a Master’s of Theology from the same institution but decided to come to Costa Rica before finishing. He has a lot of experience in discipling men, teaching, preaching, membership assimilation, developing systems within a church, volunteer recruitment and retention.

Some of his favorite authors, teachers and preachers are: C.S Lewis, J.R.R Tolkein, Timothy Keller, John Piper, Mark Dever, Francis Chan, R.C Sproul, David Platt and Craig Groeschel. He is also a former comic book nerd (mostly Marvel stuff) and loves good movies.
